Francis Moran is a published freelance photographer and writer. I’ve always loved photography, but I never took it seriously until I was a staff writer for a small weekly newspaper with the use of a point & shoot camera. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was a photojournalist; the community I covered was my subject, the newspaper my outlet – my personal gallery.
Having that purpose focused my attention and transformed my visualization from simple snap-shots to something more meaningful … what that is I haven’t figured out yet – I’m just on a personal journey of creativity and discovery that hopefully leads to something … such as a sense of accomplishment, fulfillment, happiness, great riches and stuff like that.
Lately, I’ve been exploring food photography and have served as Lost Nation Theater’s staff photographer for the past two seasons. And I’ve started to present introductory photography workshops at New England Culinary Institute.
